Whyalla Triathlon
2024Amazing swimming conditions delighted everyone for the 2024 Whyalla Triathlon. Plenty of first timers, kids and participants from all around the state came and enjoyed the conditions. Big Ray made it 3 wins in a row and more adults than ever before gave the Challenge distance triathlon a go.

2023Perfect conditions greeted competitors for the 10th Whyalla Triathlon. Sensational individual performances in the high quality field and it was great to see plenty of kids pushing themselves to their limits in the Challenge and Kids events.
2022High winds gusting up to 50km/h made for extremely uninviting swimming conditions. The strong swimmers shined and everyone who turned up and got wet, especially all the kids, deserved medals. Plenty of memories were made and super competitive races occurred in both the male and female sprint races.

2021Great performances again by all competitors both young and old. It was a beautiful day but the gentle southerly breeze made the swim a little choppy for some. The run course was changed again and included the new Whyalla Jetty and the much loved Hummock hill!
2020The Whyalla foreshore turned on near perfect conditions again for all competitors and the new multi-lap run course through the Ada Ryan Gardens was a highlight.
Perfect conditions early for the kids and warm temperatures for the seniors run over Hummock Hill produced some memorable individual performances.
Another good turn out with some super strong performances and effort from all participants. A great race for first male occurred, special individual team member performances and plenty of kids and sunshine made for an exciting day.
Beautiful weather again greeted participants who could choose between the 4 different length events. Inspirational performances and close finishes were seen in all events. Plenty of first time triathletes participated in the Enticer length event.
2016Held in conjunction with the Whyalla Family Festival on the Easter Long Weekend the party feel of the day was transferred to some great athletic performances in all events. This was the first year 4 different length races, to cater for all ages and abilities, were offered. Thanks to very generous sponsorship this was also the first event to feature professional event timing.
2015Event much the same as 2014 however the Sprint Bike leg changed to incorporate 2 x 10km laps and an additional Big Kids event offered which included a 100m swim, 4km ride and 1km run.
